Process

Precipitation heat treatments strengthen materials by allowing the controlled release of constituents to form precipitate clusters which significantly enhance the strength of the component. This process is performed at temperatures ranging from 900 to 1150째F in a vacuum, inert atmosphere, or air for hold times ranging from 1-4 hours, depending on the material and desired characteristics.
